What makes does A+ service?
All of them. We service all makes and models, from Toyota, Honda and Subaru to Ford, Chevy, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Hyundai and Kia. Our roots are in Japanese vehicles, and we bring that same dealer-level care to every car that comes through our doors.
How often should I change my oil?
Most modern cars using synthetic oil need a change every 5,000 miles. Short trips, heavy traffic and towing call for more frequent changes. We’ll follow your owner’s manual and your car’s maintenance reminder.
How long will my repair take?
Most routine maintenance, like an oil change, tire rotation or brake inspection, is done the same day, often within a couple of hours.
Larger repairs such as a timing belt, transmission work or engine diagnostics can take one to several days, depending on the job and parts availability. We’ll give you a time estimate before we start and keep you updated along the way. We offer a free shuttle, loaner vehicles and free pickup and dropoff so you’re never stuck waiting on your car.

Took my 19 year old Tacoma to A+ Japanese Auto based on the reviews. I knew it needed a 150K service, and they suggested an inspection along with an oil change so they could determine what services were needed. Family owned since 1997
The founder of A+ came to the United States from Turkey and started out as a bicycle mechanic, then spent years as a head technician at a dealership. In 1997, in his mid-40s, he opened A+ Japanese Auto Repair in San Carlos. It was a family affair from the first day.
