  • Can I keep driving with the "Check Hybrid System" light on?

    It depends on the fault. Some cars run normally while others limit power or shut down. Because some hybrid faults can damage expensive parts, have it diagnosed as soon as possible.

  • Do I have to go to the dealer for hybrid repairs?

    No. A qualified independent shop with hybrid experience and the right equipment can diagnose and repair hybrids, and you keep your warranty rights for maintenance.

  • Is it safe to work on a hybrid's high-voltage system?

    Only with the right training and equipment. We follow proper procedures to disable and verify the high-voltage system before working on it.

The founder of A+ came to the United States from Turkey and started out as a bicycle mechanic, then spent years as a head technician at a dealership. In 1997, in his mid-40s, he opened A+ Japanese Auto Repair in San Carlos. It was a family affair from the first day.
